A Microsoft employee disrupted the company’s 50th anniversary event to protest its use of AI.

“Shame on you,” said Microsoft employee Ibtihal Aboussad, speaking directly to Microsoft AI CEO Mustafa Suleyman. “You are a war profiteer. Stop using AI for genocide. Stop using AI for genocide in our region. You have blood on your hands. All of Microsoft has blood on its hands. How dare you all celebrate when Microsoft is killing children. Shame on you all.”

Sources at Microsoft tell The Verge that shortly after Aboussad was ushered out of Microsoft’s event, she sent an email to a number of email distribution lists that contain hundreds or thousands of Microsoft employees. Here is Aboussad’s email in full

If you want to know how Israel uses AI to compile kill lists that are rubber stamped (and result in massive war crimes), see this excellent article by Israeli investigate journalist Yuval Abraham

Abraham deserves a Pulitzer for that reporting. Its a must read.

Also, I hope we have another Geneva convention after this genocide. We need to establish that use of AI in war is a war crime, same as mustard gas.

      another Geneva convention

I’m told that Israel may have violated the normal Geneva convention once or twice already (or more). If you believe the ICJ, anyway.

What will another Geneva convention do if the first one carries no penalty for violation?

Prevent other countries that aren’t batshit crazy from using AI to murder people.

War crimes do help to reduce suffering, even if some countries blatently abuse it.

There’s a warrant out for the arrest of Bibi for his war crimes. Duterte just got arrested and shipped to The Hague for his war crimes.

Laws dont exist to eliminate crimes from happening. But they do reduce the number of victims.
